In what has been hailed as a major triumph, 89 Boko Haram militants were on Wednesday sentenced to death in Cameroon.
More than 1000 others still await trial in the country.

One of the militant group’s atrocious acts was the kidnapping of 276 school girls in the north-eastern town of Chibok in Nigeria. Their whereabouts are still unknown.
In January, France donated military armour to Cameroon to aid the country in its fight against militant group.
